Celebrate Birthday??
May we celebrate birthday???i don't know exactly,
because sometimes, people in islam (like the scholars who have understood of Salafi dan Wahhabi) think that celebrate birthday is a bid'ah. Bid'ah is activities which are not the teachings of our Prophet, Muhammad SAW.
but on the other hand, some scholars allow to celebrate birthday primarily for our prophet Muhammad SAW.
we have our own way to celebrate our prophet birthday, like blessings on the prophet, poetry and recitals. in my home town (Tulungagung), we celebrate it with carrying some delicious cuisine we called it "ambeng" to the village hall, pray together and then eat ambeng together.
if we can celebrate our prophet birthday, can we celebrate our birthday?
actually,,there are no exactly rule for this case..
but for me, it's okay if we're celebrate it (our friend's birthday, parent's birthday and everyone we love birthday)
celebrating their birthday is a form of expression of love and attention for them, it also shows how much i appreciate, interpret their presence in my lives, and remember how they mean to me
not meant to be celebrated with a party or a yippee, the simplest way i can do is give them congratulated or sometimes just give them something simple but meaningful...
a Birthday is one of the most special day for me. The day where I was born , the day that I believed by my god to keep the earth, keeping my parents and people around me. the day where my parents and people who love me smile when they heard my cries and the day where my parent's hope are growing for me.

and i think every one will glad when their birthday is celebrated by anyone else especially their beloved people.
